Audio is the Perfect Way to Reach African American Audiences
According to Nielsen, 92% of African American consumers listen to radio every week, and they listen 21 million minutes weekly. Podcasts are also becoming more popular with African American consumers. 36% of African American consumers now listen to podcasts each month, and African Americans who listen to podcasts have a 73% brand recall for podcast ads. Millennials and Gen X make up the majority of African American podcast listeners with almost two-thirds between ages 25-54. African American podcast listeners say that they’d listen to podcasts more if more podcasts have African American hosts.

Good News for Career-Tech Schools
A recent survey by the Educational Credit Management Corporation (or ECMC Group) found that the number of high school seniors who said they are likely to attend a four-year school fell to 48%, down from 71% just 18 months ago.
However, according to ECMC’s President and CEO Jeremy Wheaton, “The good news here is that there’s been an uptick in the awareness of career and technical training as a pathway to a good career.” Nearly half of the students surveyed said they preferred three years or less of postsecondary education.

Prices of TVs Projected to be High for the Holidays
The holiday shopping season is just around the corner. New TVs are a popular item to gift loved ones for Christmas, but it may be harder to afford one at these new prices.
Due to chip shortages and supply chain issues, there will be a higher price for televisions this holiday season. The average cost for a TV in 2020 was around $363. The projected price for televisions is going to be around $500. Inventory won’t be a big issue but consumers may not find specific brands and sizes they want. Consumers may have to compromise when choosing TVs for their friends and family.

Auto Dealership Reviews are Important for Sales
According to wardsauto.com, 80% of surveyed consumers say reviews are important when shopping, and 41% said they’d read five or more reviews before visiting an auto dealership. While rising prices affected some reviews negatively, most dealerships are still getting four and five-star reviews. Experts say one way to make sure to get a good review is to ensure the customer has a good customer service experience when visiting the dealership. 65% of surveyed shoppers say a visit to the dealership has a lot of influence on their review and buying decisions.
