The construction industry continues to seek employees to fill a massive number of job openings. The most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics data:
April 2022: The number of open construction jobs soared to a record-high 449,000 unfilled positions — compared to 329,000 unfilled positions in April of 2021.
May 2022: Employment in construction increased by just 36,000, which includes a gain of 17,000 in specialty contractor hiring.
