According to civicscience.com, nearly one-third of surveyed consumers said they’ve used or plan to use an online car dealer in the future. 37% of surveyed consumers who are likely to buy/lease a new car in the next 90 days plan to use an online dealership. 62% of respondents who plan to use an online car dealer are likely to buy a pre-owned vehicle for their next purchase. Online dealers would do well to target younger consumers with mid-to-lower incomes as they are more likely to plan to use an online dealership.
