Veteran broadcaster to implement platforms and develop partner strategies

Longtime radio programming and operations executive Kris Abrams is the new Director/Partner Integration at Futuri Media. Reporting to Sr. VP/Operations Todd Thomas, Kris will work directly with client stations on implementing Futuri’s platforms at local stations domestically and internationally. He will manage Futuri system installations and the development of strategies with stations to engage and maximize their audiences.

A third-generation broadcaster, Kris joins Futuri after serving three years as Operations Manager for Cumulus Radio/Albuquerque, an eight-station cluster where he very successfully integrated Futuri’s products and services including TopicPulse, Listener Driven Radio’s LDR1, and Takeover. Kris previously worked as Operations Manager for iHeartMedia’s six-station cluster in Jacksonville, Florida; Program Director at Greater Media Hot AC WLNK/Charlotte; Operations Manager for CBS Radio/Phoenix’s three-station group; and Program Director at WRIT/Milwaukee and WMQX/Greensboro, among several other stations.

Futuri Media President/CEO Daniel Anstandig said, “It’s rare to find such a talented, versatile professional with the kind of major-league success that Kris has demonstrated for so many years in so many different situations. We’re very proud to welcome Kris to the Futuri family.”

Sr. VP Todd Thomas added, “Kris has done it all – on-air, programming, and operations – and across numerous formats. We are certain Kris is going to be an invaluable asset and partner to our stations around the world.”

Abrams said, “This is a perfect fit that I couldn’t pass up: the chance to work as part of a team of so many forward-thinking people, both here at Futuri and especially at stations across the globe. I am a big believer in Futuri’s innovative technology and best-in-class services, and look forward to helping our client stations maximize their ratings and revenues.”
